Here at Medlink we think that practical training is invaluable!

On this page you can use your stethoscope to listen to various noises that are caused by defects in the body. Follow the instructions and have a go!

And even if you don’t have a stethoscope to use you can still listen to the noises and learn about what causes these various problems.

Instructions

Step 1: Click on a link to choose a sound.

Step 2: You will be taken to a page with a picture like the one on the right.

Step 3: The blue area shows you where you would put a stethoscope on a patient to hear the sound described in the text (there may be multiple locations to hear the same noise).

Step 4: Make sure your device’s audio is on and tap the image. An orange area will appear which will show the source of the sound in the body.

Step 5: Place your stethoscope near to your phone’s speakers to hear the audio.

Step 6: Try the next sound!
